Super Bowls, All Stars, and Retirements!!!

Hey NFL Rushers!

The Superbowl is set! In South Miami the Saints and Colts will face off for the Lombardi Trophy. So, lets get started and recap some games and answer some questions!

Minnesota Vikings -28 New Orleans Saints-31 OT

What happens when you two powerful offenses? You get a game that keeps you on the edge of your seat. My team, the New Orleans Saints, have clinched their first ever Superbowl berth after 43 years. Tears of joy and smiles covered my face as we celebrated our conference championship victory.

Before I go any farther, lets take a look into the game, shall we? At one point, Brett Favre hobbled off the field after one of the many hits he took that night. As always, Favre came back to finish the game, and in the end, he almost led his Vikings to a victory but ruined the chances of a winning field goal in the ticking seconds of the fourth quarter by throwing forcing a throw that went into the Saint's cornerback Tracy Porter's arms for a Saints interception.

Sounds familiar to some of you? In 2007 the Brett Favre and his Green Bay Packers played the Giants in a game he threw an interception in overtime that set up the Giants' game-winning field goal so into overtime we go. Even tough this interception against the Saints came at last second of regulation instead of overtime; it ruined the Vikings chances of kicking a field goal as time expired at the end of the game to win.

Anyhow, the Saints won the coin toss and drove down the field to put themselves in position for a Garret Hartley 40 yard field goal to put the Saints into their first ever Superbowl. The interception, the coin toss, a couple converted first downs, and a game winning kick in overtime make you think, was it really the Saints destiny to win this game? Either way the Saints are going to the Superbowl to face, who? Read on for your AFC Championship analysis.

New York Jets -17 Indianapolis Colts -30

After getting to a lead of 17 to 6 over the Colts in the second quarter, the New York football Jets were left scratching their head after an Indianapolis "comeback" into the lead putting themselves in position to win. After falling behind 17 to 6, Peyton Manning threw 3 touchdown passes to put his team into their second Superbowl in 4 years. Mark Sanchez started the game greatly with an 80-yard pass in the second quarter to give them a lead and another touchdown pass to Dustin Keller that put the Jets ahead 14 to 6, but couldn't prevail with his Cinderella team to the Superbowl. For the Colts, they face the New Orleans Saints in Superbowl XLIV.
