In a tough back-and-forth battle, the New Orleans Saints kicked a field-goal on the last play of the game to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles, 26-24.
Saints QB Drew Brees threw two first-half interceptions but bounced back in the second-half. He threw a 24-yard TD to WR Lance Moore in the 3rd quarter and led the Saints to the game winning field-goal in the 4th quarter. RB Mark Ingram kept the Saints steady with 97 yards and a TD on ground.
Philadephia QB Nick Foles kept the Eagles in it with 195 yards passing, 2 TDs and no interceptions; with RB LeSean McCoy running for 77 yards and 1 TD.
This was the Saints first road playoff win in team history and they hope it starts a streak. Next week they have to play the #1 seed Seahawks in Seattle.
Today was the first day in NFL history that two playoff games were won by 2 points of fewer (Indianpolis beat Kansas City earlier in the day, 45-44).
