Lead by the strong play of a QB with the initials RG III, the Redskins showed the football world that last year’s playoff success was no fluke, dominating the Steelers on both sides of the ball for an easy 24-13 victory. The only difference is that Robert Griffin III sat out the game as he continues his rehab.
It was Rex Daniel Grossman III who lit up the Steelers secondary for 136 yards and a TD on 10-16 passing. The Steelers had a solid game from RB Jonathan Dwyer, but were no match for he Redskins, who also scored on an interception return for a TD by Ryan Kerrigan and a 30-yard TD run by RB Roy Helu.
