Carolina backup QB Derek Anderson engineered two 3rd quarter scoring drives, propelling the Panthers to a 28-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Panthers took a 14-6 lead into halftime thanks to two rushing TDs from RB James Stewart.
Kansas City responded with vigor in the second half, as rookie QB Aaron Murray threw a TD to TE Travis Kelce on his first NFL pass to give the Chiefs a 16-14 lead.
From that point on the game was all Panthers, as they scored through the air to WR Brenton Bersin and on the ground by RB Fozzy Whittaker.
