NFL RUSH
Overtime Regulations

Be so good, they can't ignore you.

The one rule I would change is the regular season overtime rules. I do not feel there should be the opportunity to end a game in a tie. The fans want a clear answer to who is the winner of each game because that gives us a clear view to how teams are performing in the standings without question or debate. I think fans want an immediate response to who won, instead of waiting until the end of the season for the tie breaking rules. I would like to see overtime more like it used to be--sudden death, where first to score wins.

If I changed the rules. I would say officials cannot call touchdowns without asking the person on deck on the field calling it. They have to tell what play the person of the deck calls. Actually, that is the head official!

I think it is cool because it would be a record. Now if you look at it some games in other sports last like 6 OTs.

ok yes there should not be ties but the reason they changed the rule is because it is not fair how it used to be it was whoever won the coin toss won the game they should do it like baseball full extra quarters untill someone wins

I agree with you on the fact that there should not be ties, but I don't like how you think it should be resolved. Kicking a field goal on the first drive of OT to win is way too easy. Teams deserve to lose if they give up a touchdown because their defense gave up 100 yards of field. Go through as many OT's as you need until one team wins just like the Broncos and Ravens game.
