Tonight's Monday Night Football game features the New York Jets (2-2) vs. the Atlanta Falcons (1-3) in an interdivision clash between two teams facing must-win situations.
After making it to the NFC Championship Game last year, the Atlanta Falcons were expected to be Super Bowl contenders this season. They are coming off consecutive losses against AFC East opponents (Dolphins and Patriots), and if they are going to get things turned around they can’t afford another one.
In QB Geno Smith the Jets have a playmaker that gives them bright hopes for the future of the franchise. Of course rookie QBs are prone to making mistakes as they learn on the job. Despite throwing eight interceptions in four games, Smith is completing 63% of his passes and he has engineered two fourth quarter comebacks.
