Kid Reporter: Ravens Slip By Steelers

Few NFL games have ever ended in such a bizarre and exciting fashion as the Thanksgiving battle between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. Then again, what should be expected of this rivalry that has had most of its recent games decided by a touchdown or less. It should also go down in the books as one of the best this year.

The game had playoff implications for both teams, making it a must-win for both teams. Both teams had 5-6 records but it would be accurate to say that Pittsburgh was on a streak while the Ravens were in a slump. The game wouldn't only give the victorious team a better record but would also give it a better divisional record.

The Ravens got out to an early lead, but the Steelers rallied behind a few big plays, one being a tackle by an unlikely defender on a Jacoby Jones kickoff return.

Pittsburgh got the ball late in the 4th quarter and got almost all of the momentum. With less than two minutes left, Heath Miller caught a pass that was at first ruled a touchdown. After review, Miller was ruled down at the one. Then, a few seconds later, Le'Veon Bell powered his way through the line in what seemed to be a touchdown. After review, it was seen that the ball had not passed the plane when Bell's helmet flew off his head, which stops play immediately. On the Steelers' last try, Ben Roethlisberger threw a touchdown pass that cut the Ravens' lead to 2 points. But on the two point conversion, the ball bounced out of the hands of a diving wide receiver and Baltimore won, 22-20.

The Ravens are currently in position to get the 6th playoff spot in the AFC, while the Steelers are a game out of the playoff picture. The Steelers would probably need to win all of their next games, while Baltimore needs to beat Cincinnati in Week 17.
