For Week 7, the NFL schedule makers decided to put a great game on the schedule- top quarterback Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are traveling east to play Peyton's old team, the Indianapolis Colts, in Indianapolis. This figures to be a great game, and is already surrounded by intrigue. Here are the two main storylines about the upcoming game.
1. How Peyton Manning will be Embraced by Fans
This game is definitely going to be emotional for Colts fans, Colts players, and, of course, Peyton Manning. The former #1 pick overall played for over 10 years in Indianapolis, leading the team to two Super Bowl appearances and one Super Bowl victory. The Colts fans should definitely be a little bit saddened that Peyton left, but they ABSOLUTELY shouldn't be mad at him. It wasn't Peyton who left the team, he was cut in a move to save money. Colts fans should give their former quarterback a warm welcome; he deserves it.
2. How the Two Quarterbacks, Andrew Luck and Manning, Will Play
The Colts-Broncos game will be very emotional, but don't expect it to change the level of play that these two elite quarterbacks reached over the last couple of weeks. It could be as high scoring as the Broncos-Cowboys, and the quarterbacks could both get over 350 yards. Both the Denver and Indianapolis defenses are at the bottom half of the league, so this game will be very entertaining to watch.
My Prediction: Both quarterbacks will throw for at least 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defenses will be the difference maker, and the Colts will be victorious over the undefeated Broncos, 44-42.
