Nick Foles and Case Keenum are here, and they are here to stay. It is obvious that they are the answer to the problems and recent woes of their respective teams. They have both done an excellent job as they have taken over the starting quarterback job on their teams. Nick Foles got to take over for an injured Michael Vick, and Case Keenum is just the best remaining quarterback on the Texans.
Nick Foles has taken over the starting job in Philadelphia. There is no way that Chip Kelly should go back to Vick even if he becomes healthy. It is obvious that Foles is the quarterback of the future and possibly even now. Last weekend, we witnessed one of the greatest performances by a quarterback that we have ever seen. He threw for over 400 yards and 7 touchdown passes. Another quarterback that threw for 7 touchdown passes recently is Peyton Manning. Could Foles be the next Manning? Probably not, but he is going to be good. Foles' great performance is just the beginning of possible greatness. He may not do that every week, but he will put up good games.
Another quarterback that is the new starter in Houston, Case Keenum. He has taken over for Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates. He was the third string quarterback and got his chance when Matt Schaub got hurt, and Gary Kubiak decided to give Keenum the job over Yates. He snapped the pick-six streak the Texans had going and has finally been able to throw a 25+ yard pass. He has also thrown touchdown passes, something the Texans have not had in awhile. In his last game against the Colts, he had 350+ yards and 3 touchdowns. He has emerged as a good quarterback who has lots of potential. I think that he is definitely the starter for the rest of the year, and possibly years to come.
Thanks for reading. Let me know who you think is the best quarterback in the comments.
