Eight Truths & Two Lies: LeSean McCoy

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean "Shady" McCoy is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL and has one of the coolest nicknames!


Below are 10 super cool facts about McCoy's life. Eight of them are solid gold truths, while two are -- well -- "shady" lies.

1. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.


2. In high school he was one of the most prolific rushers in Pennsylvania history.


3. LeSean was given the nickname ‘Shady” by his Grandmother, because she thought he was a troublemaker.


4. He originally committed to attend the University of Miami, but eventually attended Penn State University.


5. In 2008 he was named a Second Team All-American and the Big East Player of the Year.


6. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted him in the second round (53 overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft.


7. McCoy broke the all-time Eagles rookie rushing record with 637 yards.


8. McCoy was second only to Jamaal Charles in running back fantasy football points last year.


9. McCoy won the NFL rushing title last year with 1,607 yards.


10. McCoy's brother, LeRon McCoy, is a former wide receiver who played for the Arizona Cardinals.
