Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Panthers had a breakthrough season last year, as they put the rest of the league on notice that they were in the Super Bowl hunt.
Having stockpiled young talent on both sides of the ball, the Buccaneers are in a position to do the same thing this year.
Things are about to get real in the NFC South.
Which of these two rivals had a draft to push them forward, and which one will be left wondering what happened?
Carolina Panthers Draft Highlights
The Carolina Panthers addressed their most pressing need by selecting WR Kelvin Benjamin, a physical specimen with elite jump-ball prowess. With their second pick they added another stud to their menacing defensive line, DT Kony Ealy.
The Panthers also got G Trai Turner, a mauler who perfectly fits the Panthers power offense, S Tre Boston, who will help in the defensive backfield, and RB Tyler Gaffney, who fits the Panthers power prototype.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Highlights
The Buccaneers had an offensive draft...literally! They added weapons all over with WR Mike Evans, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins plus RB Charles Sims.
And everyone knows an NFL offense needs the big uglies, and Tampa Bay got two good ones in Kadeem Edwards and Kevin Pamphile.
