Hey NFLRUSHers! I hope you've enjoyed my interviews with Todd Fritz and Rich Eisen. This time for "4th and Goal With..." I'm here with Blair Walsh, rookie kicker for the Minnesota Vikings.
1) As a rookie, what has been your biggest adjustment to the NFL?
I think, as a rookie, my biggest adjustment has just been the overall skill level around me. You especially see it on kickoff return a lot because I'm kicking the ball off, but guys are a lot faster and bigger at this level.
2) What have been the highs and lows of your career so far?
I think the high is obviously the first game, hitting the game winner, and I think the low was missing the late field goal in Detroit. I just have to make that and be reliable for my team.
3) Does icing the kicker have any effect on you?
No, I actually kind of like it. It gives me more time to be on the field and to get in the rhythm of what I'm doing. I don't think it affects me that much.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more interviews with me for "4th and Goal With..."
