The San Francisco 49ers (3-2) pounded the Houston Texans (2-3) 34-3 and put the rest of the league on notice that they are once again a force to be reckoned with this season.
The 49ers intercepted Texans QB Matt Schaub on his first pass of the game and took it back for an 18-yard TD. Things never got better for Schaub, who threw for 3 INTs and 0 TDs, or the Texans, as the 49ers dominated in all facets of the game.
The 49ers were led by QB Colin Kaepernick’s 64-yard TD connection to TE Vernon Davis and RB Frank Gore’s 81 yards rushing and a TD.
