Levi's Stadium, the new 1.3 billion dollar high-tech home of the San Francisco 49ers, officially opened for the pubic at a spectacular ribbon cutting ceremony in Santa Clara, CA.
49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and LB Patrick Willis joined NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell who proclaimed, "You can feel the difference, and you know the fans are going to feel the difference."
In addition to hosting the 49ers home games, Levi's Stadium will be the site for Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
Levi's Stadium features include:
** Fan-Friendly Seating: The seating design puts approximately two-thirds of the fans closer to the field in the lower bowl.
** Free Wi-Fi: Fans will be able to watch instant replays on their mobile devices.
** Eco-Friendly: It's the first stadium with both a green roof and solar panels.
