2010: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

It's Playoffs time! We will get to see the best teams in the NFL going head to head. However, for every team that gets into the Playoffs, there is one team that won’t. Here is my list of this season’s most surprising teams (for better or for worse).

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Yes, they are a perennial power in the AFC, but who could have seen this coming? Especially after all the offseason work the Jets did! Brady and the Pats are looking for their 4th Super Bowl ring, and I don’t think anyone would be surprised if they got it with the way they are playing right now.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: Well, it was supposed to be the “Year of the Chargers” in the AFC West, but no one bothered to get Kansas City’s opinion on that! The Chiefs are finally able to get out of the big shadow in San Diego. Now we will see how they fare in the playoffs! They get the Ravens first round.

ATLANTA FALCONS: It takes a lot to steal the division title, much less the conference number 1 seed, away from the defending Super Bowl champions. However, that’s exactly what the Falcons did!

MINNASOTA VIKINGS: Soap opera. Enough said.

DALLAS COWBOYS: A rough season for this club, especially when they were a Super Bowl favorite for many.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS: Since when does it take until Week 17 for the Colts to clinch a playoff spot? Shouldn’t they be competing for the conference number 1 seed?

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS: A 7-9 team in the Playoffs? The Seahawks are the first team in NFL history to win a division with a sub-.500 record.
