I Met Cris Carter Bowling ... For Real!

When a Hall of Fame wide receiver has a bowling event open to the public, you have to go. Cris Carter, a 2013 inductee into Canton, was celebrating the opening of a new local bowling alley. My father said he would take me, he being a Vikings fan his whole life.

Once we arrived, Cris Carter wasn’t in eyesight. When Cris’ frame finally arose from the private room after doing an interview with a local news channel, the crowd went wild. I really felt a part of the generations of Minnesota fans during that moment.

Then came the moment. It was my turn in the chaotic line to be right in front of Cris Carter. Carter signed a football for me, and we had a brief conversation, but after all there were about 50 people waiting behind me to meet him, one being my dad. I watched as my dad talked to Carter. We both left in awe.

Kid Reporter Aidan Conquers the Pro Bowl!

Today, I went to the Pro Bowl! Before kickoff, I got on-field access to watch the players warm up, and got the opportunity to high five Kyle Williams and Cameron Wake!

After meeting them and getting their autographs earlier in the week, it was a great way to wrap up the weekend. I also got to watch the first half of the 13/14u Flag Football Championships. The defending champion Dolphins played the Redskins, and at the end of the first quarter it was the Redskins up 14 to 6. The second half was to be played at halftime, so I then went back to my seat, which was in the 13th row back on the first level! There was only one turnover in the first half of the Pro Bowl, and that was a Drew Brees interception by Stephon Gilmore, the Bills cornerback!

The AFC took advantage as the NFC could not find their groove, and led at halftime with the score at 14 to 7. During halftime, the second half of the Flag Football Championships took place. The Redskins kept churning, and took down the defending champs in an upset. The final score was 20 to 6. Then, the Pro Bowl resumed, the AFC not letting up. A second interception for them by Lorenzo Alexander late in the game when the NFC needed a touchdown sealed it, and the AFC won.

We stayed all the way through to the end with the presentation of the trophy and the announcement of the MVP’s. For offense, it was Travis Kelce, and for the defense, it was Lorenzo Alexander of the Buffalo Bills! This was such an amazing experience for me, and I would like to thank for this amazing opportunity.

Kid Reporter Aidan's Amazing Day at the Pro Bowl Experience!

Today, I saw the second Pro Bowl Practice. I got even more pictures and autographs! Some including Richard Sherman, Michael Bennett, Greg Olsen, Jimmy Graham, Demaryius Thomas, and Ezekiel Elliott! I got all the AFC signatures on my Buffalo Bills cap, while my NFC signatures are on a Pro Bowl ball.

After the practices, I went to watch the NFL FLAG football championships. In the finals, it will be the Dolphins against the Redskins. The Dolphins have an amazing player that made a lot of amazing plays in their game, and helped them get to the championship.

I also did the Pro Bowl Experience, which was amazing. It was so much fun, with so many different events to take part of. I ran a 40 yard dash, completed and obstacle course, ran passing routes, and had my football throws evaluated for speed and spiral efficiency. I even had time to play a couple of pickup games of two-hand touch, where I made some new friends. Today’s experience showed me how friendly everyone at the Pro Bowl is, and how football can bring people together. It was another fantastic day!

Kid Reporter Aidan's First Pro Bowl Practice!

Today was my first time attending a Pro Bowl practice!

You can get so many good shot of the players making outstanding plays, and the occasional moment where they goof off. That moment was priceless. Ezekiel Elliott pretended to jump-kick Richard Sherman, and kept running. The best part however: Sherman played along, slowly falling to the ground, and everyone got a kick out of it.

I spoke with tons of players and got autographs with Lorenzo Alexander, TY Hilton, Ryan Shazier, Von Miller, Emmanuel Sanders, Riche Incognito, and Cameron Wake... just to name a few.  After the practices, I watched the Pro Bowl parade at Disney's Magic Kingdom. It was kind of touching seeing the players be with their kids. It kind of showed that football is family.

After the parade, I went on pretty much all the thrill rides in Magic Kingdom that you can name. Here are some of them: Big Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and The 7 Dwarves Mine Train. What an amazing day!!!

Aidan H Takes On the Pro Bowl!

The trip out to Orlando. Exciting to say the least! I couldn’t wait to get off the plane and explore the Wide World of Sports complex. I mean, some of my favorite players on the Bills were going to be there, including Stephon Gilmore, Kyle Williams, and Lorenzo Alexander.

If I were to ask those guys one question it would be: "When you started playing football, how often did you play and practice?" I would compare their commitment to the game to mine, and find out whether or not I am up to speed. I'm excited for tomorrow, and looking forward to kicking off the experience!

Kid Reporter Jacob: Best Kicker in the NFL?!

Hi guys, Kid Reporter Jacob here.

Today we will be discussing Chris Boswell in the Divisional round. Boswell kicked an NFL Postseason record 6 field goals! Not to mention against the Chiefs! Not only that, but all the Steelers scored were field goals!

They won but it was close, 18-16 to be exact. In my opinion Boswell is the most underrated kicker in the NFL.

Kid Reporter Justin: Soaring Seahawks!

This year the Seahawks are in trying to make their third Super Bowl in five years. Can they do it? Comment below on what you think? Here is a little bit more about the Seahawks in the playoffs.

As you all are probably aware of, the Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl again after winning Super Bowl 48. This time it was against the Patriots. The Seahawks finished 12-4 and got a bye, they faced a weak team to begin with; The Panthers. This wasn't the season when the Panthers were the team to beat. This was a team with a losing record in the regular season and the only reason they made the postseason was because they won their division.

The Seahawks had five Pro Bowlers: Marshawn Lynch, Bobby Wagner, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor that season, easily won 31-17. Next they faced Packers and won in overtime due to a mistake by Brandon Bostick on an onside kick. No Packer Fan will ever forget that. That gave the Seahawks a chance to tie it up by scoring a touchdown; which they did. In overtime, it was as if the game was already over. The Seahawks were dominating the Packers defense and the momentum was on their side. They easily dominated them in overtime and made it to the Super Bowl. They took advantage of a mistake against the Packers and then, they committed one of their own against the Patriots. Pete Carroll decided to throw the ball in the red zone, instead of running it with Marshawn Lynch but Malcolm Butler picked it off and that was it. The Patriots won the Super Bowl.

Last Season, the Seahawks did the opposite of getting a bye. They got the sixth and last seed. The Seahawks faced the Vikings in the first round of the playoffs. It was a very low scoring game and it was very cold at Minnesota. It ended up coming down to Blair Walsh, the Viking's kicker, who missed the field goal to win the game. The Seahawks survived a close one. Next up, they were against the Panthers, who were nearly unstoppable in the regular season. The Panther did what they normally did and that was start off strong. They were winning 31-0 at one point. The Seahawks scored 24 consecutive points, but it still wasn't enough. They couldn't take down the Panthers.

This season, they are the third seed and are facing the Lions in the Wild Card round. How far can they make it this season?

In His Last Article of the Season, Kid Reporter John Made All the Right Calls!

Hey Guys! I’ve been writing for NFL RUSH for five years and have published over 100 articles and I’ve loved every moment of it. It's time for me to hang up the cleats and go out on a good note, so today I’m writing my last article. Thank you guys SO much for reading my work all of these years and for NFL RUSH for allowing my work to be published on a site that I go to every week! Today, I’m tackling the three games to watch in the last week of the regular season, Week 17.

X Option: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions, 8:25 PM ET
This NFC North rivalry, which was pressed into primetime action due to flex scheduling, has more on the line than any other game. The Packers, winners of their last five, take on the Lions, who have fallen twice in the last two weeks, with the NFC North crown on the line. If the Redskins win earlier in the day, the loser of this game will be eliminated from playoff contention.

I’d go with the hot hand in this game and choose Green Bay. Matthew Stafford has been phenomenal, especially in late-game situations, but he’s facing the best quarterback in the NFL on a roll in Rodgers. Neither team has a particularly solid supporting cast, but the receivers for Aaron Rodgers and at times stingy defense gives him the edge. I’ll say 30-21, Green Bay.

Y Option: New York Giants at Washington Redskins, 4:25 PM ET
Washington controls its destiny- win and in. They’re taking on a Giants team that is a force to be reckoned with but is locked in to the five seed in the playoffs. Kirk Cousins has blossomed into a franchise quarterback, ranking second in the league in yardage, and his top receivers, tight end Jordan Reed and receiver DeSean Jackson, make this aerial attack among the most dangerous in the league. The match up to watch in this one is the Redskins’ run game against the stout the New York Giants defensive front. The Redskins average 139.9 rushing yards per game in victories against 73.2 yards per game in losses, per ESPN, while the Giants have allowed the seventh-fewest rushing yards per game. I don’t trust the Redskins, so I’ll say Giants 27-25.

Z Option: Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos, 4:25 PM ET

Yes, the Raiders are in the playoffs, and the Broncos are eliminated. But if Oakland wins with backup Matt McGloin at quarterback, the Raiders clinch the second seed in the playoffs and a first-round bye, which will help them acclimate McGloin to the starting duties. The Broncos have less to play for, though a win would at least give them a winning record.

For a backup like McGloin, no test is tougher than the Denver Broncos elite secondary, so expect a lot of Latavius Murray/DeAndre Washington action coming from the Oakland Raiders backfield. The Broncos have lost their last three games and are reeling, but a home game to finish the season with the chance to play spoiler to the Raiders could get them clicking again. Expect a low-scoring match, with the Broncos getting a 16-9 edge.

Checkdown: Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles, 1:00 PM ET
This game has no playoff implications, as the Cowboys are locked into the top seed in the NFC and the Eagles are eliminated, but there are a lot of intriguing storylines. Dak Prescott can become the first rookie quarterback to win 14 games and the Cowboys could break their record for most regular season victories. More interesting is whether the Cowboys will rest Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott and potentially put Tony Romo on the field. Even with the potential rest for the playoffs, I’d go with the Cowboys sweeping the Eagles in a 31-24 contest.

Who do you think will win in the Playoffs?

Kid Reporter John, signing off!

Kid Reporter Oren's Playoff Predictions!

Check out my playoff predictions. Let me know if you agree or disagree below!

NFC Wild Card Round

1. Dallas Cowboys
2. Atlanta Falcons

3. Seattle Seahawks v. 6. Detroit Lions
4. Green Bay Packers v. 5. New York Giants

Seattle will win because the Legend of Boom (the Seattle defense) will take advantage of Matthew Stafford. Green Bay has beaten the Giants already this year, and the Packers are going to be on a 6-game winning streak. Green Bay will come out with the win.

AFC Wild Card Round:

1. New England Patriots
2. Kansas City Chiefs Games:
3. Pittsburg Steelers v. 6. Miami Dolphins
4. Houston Texans v. 5. Oakland Raiders

The Steelers will win because the Dolphins’ defense will not be able to stop Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. It will be a high-scoring game, but the Steelers will win by double digits. The Houston Texans and the Oakland Raiders will meet in the playoffs. The Oakland Raiders will win by a lot.

NFC Divisional Round
1. Dallas Cowboys v. 4. Green Bay Packers
2. Atlanta Falcons v. 3. Seattle Seahawks

The Cowboys are a very good team. They have a starting quarterback and running back who are both rookies. Because they have no playoff experience, the Packers will win. The second game is a very good match-up but the Seattle Seahawks will prevail. They have a very good defense that can stop Atlanta, the team that scores the most points per game and has scored the most points this season.

AFC Divisional Round
1. New England Patriots v. 5. Oakland Raiders
2. Kansas City Chiefs v. 3. Pittsburgh Steelers

The New England game will feature Tom Brady, who will have an amazing game, Julian Edelman, who will catch for over 100 yards, and Legarrette Blount, who will run for two touchdowns. The Patriots will kill. In the second game, Pittsburgh will win.

NFC Conference Championship Round
Seattle Seahawks v. Green Bay Packers

This is a rematch of the playoff game two years ago. This year, the Packers defense already forced Russell Wilson to throw five interceptions. The Packers will make their 8-game winning streak stay alive. The Packers will win.

AFC Conference Championship Round
New England Patriots v. Pittsburgh Steelers

New England has so many assets. Tom Brady will throw for 400 yards and a touchdown. The New England Patriots will kill Pittsburgh.

SUPER BOWL: New England Patriots v. Green Bay Packers
This is a very good match-up. Tom Brady vs Aaron Rodgers. Both teams have very good assets, but Brady can’t be stopped in this game. Davante Adams and Jordy Nelson will catch a total of three touchdowns combined, but it won’t be enough as Brady throws for 400 yards and three touchdowns and Legarrette Blount will score a touchdown. Brady will get his 5th Super Bowl win in the 2017 Super Bowl.

Who do you think will win the 2017 Super Bowl?

-Kid Reporter Oren
