Programs
NFL Flag FootballThe NFL supports the development of young athletes, which is why NFL Youth Football has an essential presence in all 32 NFL markets and beyond. NFL Youth Football programs help participants enjoy the NFL experience every time they step on a field and provide them with valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. NFL Flag Football is one of the many ways that youth can get their 60 minutes of physical activity everyday. NFL Girls Flag FootballThe NFL supports the development of young athletes, male and female. Of the over 100,000 youth Flag Football participants nation wide, over 1/3 are girls. The NFL promotes and makes sure girls get in the game and continue to participate with their NFL Girls Flag Football Leadership Program.

NFL Take a Player to School Sweepstakes Ultimate Gym Class Events"Take a Player to School" is one of the NFL's flagship youth programs, allowing youth in every NFL market the chance to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take an NFL player to school. In 2008, the program is focused on communicating the NFL's commitment to youth health and fitness (NFL PLAY 60). The winners will have the opportunity to design the Ultimate Physical Education Class to be led by the NFL player that visits their school. Mini ReCharge! The NFL and Action for Healthy Kids expanded its partnership in 2007 to support the NFL's commitment to youth fitness by engaging NFL Clubs at the local level and to promote Action For Healthy Kids resources that engage youth in physical activity in after-school settings. The partnership resulted in Action for Healthy Kids developing Mini-ReCharge!, a turn-key activity circuit that engages students, in grades 3-5, in physical activity specifically for use by NFL Clubs and encourages kids to get their 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Gatorade Jr. Training Camps
The NFL, its Clubs and Gatorade have joined forces to create a grass roots, team-based, community outreach program for youth, ages 7 to 14. Participants in Gatorade Jr. Training camps learn football related skills in a non-contact environment. By using the program, coaches and volunteers convey a message of teamwork, personal bests, sportsmanship, education and the importance of physical activity. NFL YET CentersThe concept of the NFL Youth Education Town (YET) Center was born out of the desire of the National Football League to leave a lasting legacy to communities hosting a Super Bowl and was founded on the philosophy that by coupling education with recreation, disadvantaged children can overcome the obstacles to success. This legacy came in the form of money given to the hosting community to develop a community center providing sports and recreational activities, in combination with education, to assist disadvantaged youth in their personal growth and development. Many of the NFL's YET Centers implement the ideals and messaging behind NFL's PLAY60 Initiative. NFL Youth Fitness ZonesTo launch the NFL's Play 60 initiative, more than 25 NFL Clubs helped build Youth Fitness Zones in their communities, providing new places for local youth to be active. The Fitness Zone projects were part of the NFL's annual Hometown Huddle, a League-wide day of service in partnership with the United Way. Youth Fitness Zones are team branded buildings or rooms designed to help youth of all ages obtain their 60 minutes of physical activity per day.
