A New Season With New Challenges

Last season, thousands of fans helped NFL PLAY 60 fund more than 50 youth health and wellness projects and impact 14,000 students and teachers across the country through the first-ever NFL PLAY 60 DonorsChoose.org Showdown.

This season, we’re bringing the Showdown back to continue impacting schools and students across the country! Each week, while two teams compete on the field during NFL Network's Thursday Night Football matchup, two deserving youth health and fitness projects from the corresponding cities will face off here in the NFL PLAY 60 DonorsChoose.org Showdown.

Based on fan votes, NFL PLAY 60 will fully fund the winning project, while the other project will get 50% funding towards its goal. Vote now!

Healthy Learners are Better Learners
City:  Denver, CO
School:  Swansea Elementary School
Teacher:  Ms. Sexauer

My students need:

The students at my school suffer from inactivity and poor nutrition. I work in a low income neighborhood where, unfortunately, junk food is cheaper than healthy food. To help inspire healthy habits, I am requesting pedometers to loan my students so they can track their activity during recess. Giving my students a goal for how many steps they take will encourage them to run and walk instead of standing on the playground.

Much Needed Material for Physical Education Class
City:  Baltimore, MD
School North Bend Elementary Sch 81
Teacher Mr. Parsh

My students need:

I teach students in grade pre-K through 8th grade so I need a variety of equipment to teach a wide range of ages. I am requesting dodgeballs, volleyballs, badminton sets, and jump ropes to get my students physically active so that they are prepared to live a happy and healthy life.
