WEEK 5 HIGHLIGHTS
Another stellar weekend of football - big palys won close games, some teams may have gotten their groove back and some teams still can't win! Check out some of the highlights:

MIAMI (0-5) vs. HOUSTON (3-2) In a thrilling game, the Texans sunk the Dolphins, on a last second field goal, to win, 22-19! Kicker Kris Brown had 5 field goals during the game - and that made all the difference!

STAND-OUT PLAYERS:
Dolphins: QB Cleo Lemon completed 15 of 27 for 151 yards, after coming in for injured QB Trent Green. He also threw 1 interception.
Ronnie Brown totaled 114 yards rushing and scored 1 TD.
Texans: QB Matt Schaub was 20 for 34 for 294 yards. He also tossed 1 interception.
Ron Dayne had 40 yards rushing and scored 1 TD.
FIVE HUGE KICKS
Texans kicker Kris Brown booted 5 big field goals through the uprights, including his last kick, which was for 57 yards and won the game at the last second! Kris is only the third kicker in NFL history to kick 3 field goals for 50 yards or more all in one game (57, 54, and 54 yards)! Nice going, Kris!!

Dolphins starting QB Trent Green was taken off the field on a stretcher, with a concussion, after taking a knee hard to the helmet. |

NEW YORK JETS (1-4) vs. NEW YORK GIANTS (3-2) In this heated New York rivalry, the Giants stopped the Jets drives with key interceptions! The Giants stomped on their New York neighbors, winning 35-24.

STAND-OUT PLAYERS:
Jets: QB Chad Pennington completed 21 of 36 passes for 229 yards. He had 1 TD, but tossed 3 interceptions.
Laveranues Coles ended the day with 89 yards receiving.
Giants: QB Eli Manning completed 13 of 25 passes for 186 yards and he rushed for 17 yards. He had 2 TDs and 1 interception.
Derrick Ward rushed for 56 yards and had 1 TD.
Plaxico Burress hauled in 124 yards receiving and scored 1 TD and Brandon Jacobs totaled 100 yards rushing with 1 TD.
GOOD 'D' Aaron Ross, the Giants rookie cornerback had 2 interceptions and ran one back for a TD!!
NICE RUN The Jet's Leon Washington returned a third quarter kickoff for 98 yards and a TD! |

SEATTLE (3-2) vs. PITTSBURGH (4-1)
Big Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers' QB, led his team to a big win over the Seahawks, who just couldn't get it started. Pittsburgh blanked the Seahawks, 21-0, even without two of their main go-to players. |
STAND-OUT PLAYERS:
Seahawks: QB Matt Hasselbeck threw 27 passes and completed 13 for 116 yards, with 1 interception.
Shaun Alexander was held to just 26 yards rushing.
Steelers: QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 18 of 22 passes for 206 yards and 1 TD!
Willie Parker rushed for 102 yards and Najeh Davenport totaled 58 yards on the ground and scored 2 TDs!
INJURY REPORT Pittsburgh had to play without two of its starters -- Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. Seattle's Deion Branch was also out with an injury. |

CHICAGO (2-3) vs. GREEN BAY (4-1) These two teams have a very old rivalry and this game kept it alive. The Packers wanted to win to stay undefeated and the Bears wanted to win to prove they're still playoff and Super Bowl worthy. In the end, the Bears came out on top, winning 27-20, by outscoring the Packers 20-3 in the second half.

STAND-OUT PLAYERS:
Bears: QB Brian Griese threw 15 completions of 25 passes for 214 yards. He threw 2 TD passes and 1 interception.
Cedric Benson racked up 64 yards rushing and scored 1 TD. In the air, Desmond Clark had 62 yards receiving and 1 TD and Greg Olson also had 1 TD and caught 4 passes for a total of 57 yards.
Packers: QB Brett Favre completed 29 of 40 passes for a total of 322 yards and 1 TD. He also tossed 2 interceptions.
DeShawn Wynn ended up with 78 yards rushing and scored 1 TD and Greg Jennings had 83 yards receiving and 1 TD.
KEY CATCH Chicago's Brandon McGowan intercepted a Brett Favre pass in the endzone to secure the win for the Bears!
TOO MANY TURNOVERS The Packers turned the ball over 5 times during the game and were hit with 12 penalties for 93 yards. |

ATLANTA (13) vs. TENNESSEE (20) In a game filled with turnovers and interceptions, the Titans and QB Vince Young ended up beating the Falcons, 20-13.

STAND-OUT PLAYERS:
Falcons: QB Joey Harrington completed 16 of 31 passes for 87 yards, with 1 interception.
Warrick Dunn rushed for 27 yards.
Titans: QB Vince Young tossed 20 completions of 33 passes for 157 yards, but he also threw 3 interceptions.
On the ground, Chris Brown rushed for 27 yards and scored 1 TD.
GOOD 'D' The Titans' Vincent Fuller intercepted a pass in the third quarter and ran it back 76 yards for a Tennessee TD and victory!
FACT The Titans' RB Chris Brown scored the only offensive TD of the game! |
