Free Agency has started and many big name players like Julius Peppers, Karlos Dansby, Thomas Jones, and Antonio Bryant have already signed to a new team.

The Eagles have just signed former Colts CB Marlin Jackson to help out in the secondary. I think the Eagles should pick up Titans OLB Keith Bullock in free agency. Keith Bullock last year had 108 tackles and 3 interceptions. The Eagles will have MLB Stewart Bradley back from a season ending injury last year and I think he will need some help on defense. The Eagles already have lost OLBs Akeem Jordan, Chris Gocong, and MLB Omar Gaither in free agency. I know he might be a little old, but I think Keith Bullock could improve the Eagles's defense by stopping the run and occasionally getting a interception.

The player that I hope the Eagles keep in free agency is WR Jason Avant. Even though Avant already got resigned by the Eagles this year. Avant was usually a 3rd string receiver this year for the Eagles and he had 41 receptions for 587 yards and 3 TDs. Avant was a reliable receiver on third downs and could make great catches. My favorite Avant moment this year was at the Denver game in Week 16 in which Avant was running a little slant pattern to the endzone. McNabb threw the ball his way and the ball got tipped by a Denver player. Avant tipped the ball twice and then made a spectacular catch in the endzone for a touchdown.

There are a number of outstanding free agents on the market. This is a good place for the Jets to pick up some talent and improve the team. There are 2 good running backs out there. One is Brian Westbrook from the Eagles and the other is LaDainian Tomlinson, formerly of the San Diego Chargers

I think the Jets should look for a running back since they released Thomas Jones and he was picked up by the Chiefs. I think that the Jets should pick up Tomlinson because he worked with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer when he was coaching for San Diego.

The Jets have a number of strong players that they need to keep. The most important player right now is Mark Sanchez, their quarterback. I do not think they should trade him for a non-quarterback because they do not have another good quarterback, and there aren't many good quarterback free agents this year.

The strongest quarterback free agent is Jake Delahome and he may go to the Cleveland Browns.
Whats Up NFLRushers,

As you may know, NFL Free Agency is now on its way. This year, there are many great NFL Free Agents such as, Julius Peppers, Anquan Boldin, Karlos Dansby, and Antonio Cromartie. These NFL Free Agents have already been picked up by an NFL Team. But there are still more NFL Free Agents left to sign. Therefore, I hope that my Team the Philadelphia Eagles, will sign a good Free Agent.

To begin, I hope that the Eagles will sign DB Marlin Jackson. Jackson was a former Indianapolis Colts Player. Jackson can play as a Cornerback or as a Safety. He has some experience at both positions. I hope that the Eagles will pick up Jackson because, the Eagles are weak at the Safety position. Since, Brian Dawkins left the team, our Safety position hasn't been the same. Jackson brings what we need to the table at 6'0, 196 lbs, at 26 years old.

Also as you may know, during Free Agency NFL Teams can trade players. I wish that the Eagles will keep Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb. McNabb is a great football player and has an opportunity to go into the NFL Hall Of Fame. He is a good pocket passer and can take the Eagles to the Super Bowl again. On the other hand, Kevin Kolb should stay with the Eagles. Kolb has shown that he can take the starting QB position. He is young, and has a few years of experience. Kolb is a good Quarterback and should deserve some more playing time. I believe that he is the future of the Philadelphia Eagles. When McNabb is finished with his NFL Career.

See You Later NFLRushers, I hope you Rush back later to see some more NFL News!

I think acquiring Neil Rackers would be an upgrade at the kicking position. Neil only missed one field goal attempt during the 2009 regular season. Although I really don't think it will happen, it does sound cool.

The pickup of Charles Woodson (last year's defensive player of the year) back in 2006 sure was a good one.

What's Up NFLRUSHers!

Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors that Donovan McNabb might be traded to another team this off-season. As you may know, McNabb is the Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. In my opinon, I believe that McNabb should not be traded to another team.

To begin, some people think that McNabb should be traded because of his age. Currently, McNabb is 33 years old. To me age is only a number. For example, look at the Minnesota Vikings Quarterback, Brett Favre. Favre is 40 years old, and is still playing football. He is one of the top Quarterbacks in the NFL today. Even though, Donovan McNabb might not move around like he used to, he is still a great pocket passing Quarterback.

Also, why McNabb should not be traded is because he is a great Quarterback. If I had pick the top Quarterbacks in the NFL today, I would say Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Donovan McNabb. Number 5 took the Eagles to the Super Bowl once, and will take them there again. I believe that this is the year when McNabb gets the weapons he needs on offense.

Last but not least, people want McNabb to get traded is because they say that he is the reason why the Eagles lose games. But, really it is the whole team. Football is a team sport, there is no "I" in team. When you lose a game, it is not because of the Quarterback it is because of the whole team. I am an Eagles fan and proud to be one. I want McNabb to stay but if he is traded, I will show Kevin Kolb the same support that I do McNabb.

What do you think about Donovan McNabb NFLRushers? Do you think he should be traded?

Hey, NFLRUSHers!

I hope you're doing well since I last wrote. We have some BIG dates and deadlines coming up soon. Free agency begins on March 5th at 12:01 A.M. and the 75th NFL Draft begins on April 22, at 7:30 P.M.

Anyway, now that the Scouting Combine is over, we can look at the winners and losers of the Combine. Here we go. . .

COMBINE WINNERS:

A.J. Jefferson: The former Fresno State defensive back lit up the Combine and made quite a favorable impression on all the scouts there. He had the fastest time in the 20 yard shuttle, the 60 yard shuttle and also did the best in the Vertical Jump, with a height of 44 inches (that's more that 3 ½ feet high!) His draft status has improved considerably.

Tim Tebow: Although he did not enter in the bench press or throw for scouts, Tebow finished first among QBs in the Vertical Jump, the 20 yard shuttle, 60 yard shuttle and 3-cone drill, as well as second among QBs in the Broad Jump. In a previous article, I said he needed a good showing. Well, he got it!

COMBINE LOSERS:

Carlos Dunlap. For all the hype that surrounded him, he really didn't have the type of showing that would be expected of a early first round pick. Plus, his dedication is in question.

LeGarrette Blount. After "the punch heard 'round the college football world" in the Boise State game, Blount needs to redeem himself to scouts. He has all the physical tools; the only question now is how he will use them.

Well, that's all from my combine report. I'll be back soon with draft predictions!

How did your favorite players do!?

I was super lucky to go to the Detroit Lions QB/WR Academy. I chose the wide receiver track to help me better play my cornerback position for the Macomb Mustangs.

I was so excited to go on Ford Field to learn more about good football techniques. Our head coach for the day was Coach Chris. Coach Chris talked to us about learning the fundamentals and how important they are. He warned the quarterbacks that their arms would be killing them. He warned the wide receivers our legs would be hurting by the end of the day. He was so right!

We started off with a warm-up and stretching. We moved on to foot drills with the ladder, criss-crosses and M&Z cones. We learned about starting positions, routes and catching with one hand. I learned about dig, post, corner, fade, hitch, curl and out routes. I would tell you more about the routes but if we meet on the field someday I would be giving away my plays.

The coaches were amazing and one coach was an area high school star running back. They taught us a lot in one day. Coach Chris ended the day reminding us what we do in the off-season is so important. PLAY 60 can sure help you be ready for August! Our day ended with hand shakes from our coaches.

Hey everyone! I'm back with more draft predictions.

First, two big RBs are on the free-agent market now in LaDainian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook. Anyhow, I have things to talk about regarding the Combine. So, here's my list of. . .

PLAYERS WHO HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE IN THE COMBINE:

1: Tim Tebow, QB for Florida. While I loved the Super Bowl commercial with him and his mom, that doesn't mean that he's sure to go in the first round. He has a lot to prove, as many teams are skeptical that he will be able to convert to a drop-back style passer like most NFL quarterbacks. With that new throwing motion he has, I think he will have a good showing.

2: Sam Bradford, QB for Oklahoma. He was the Heisman trophy winner in 2008, but after a long 2009 season with the Sooners (he injured his shoulder twice, first in the opening game against BYU and later against the Texas Longhorns, after which he had season-ending surgery) he is slated by many to go to the Redskins at pick number four. However, there is a lot of speculation over his arm, and I wonder if he will be able to withstand 320 pound lineman landing on him with a lot more force then they did in college.

3: Jahvid Best, RB for Cal. After a painful concussion suffered on November 7th against Oregon State, Best is ready to show the world of the NFL what he's got. Sadly for him, he missed a lot of games (including Cal's bowl game) that would have given him a lot of exposure to NFL scouts. The Combine will be important for him.

Now, for more draft analysis!

Pick number six: Seattle Seahawks

Last year's record: 5-11

Analysis: I thought the Seahawks were going to go somewhere last year. However, after a 5-11 season, Seattle finds itself with a golden opportunity to get back in the playoff hunt. They have been waiting for this. With Kurt Warner retiring, the Cardinals may have to take a year for him to get up to speed. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have slowly but surely been building their team up. To compete for a playoff spot, they need. . .

Positions Needed: CB, DL, OL and LB

Pick number seven: Cleveland Browns

Last year's record: 5-11

Analysis: The Browns showed a spark at the end of last year, by winning their last four games. Unfortunately for Cleveland, at this point in time they aren't close to competing in arguably the best division in the NFL (the AFC North). To rebuild, the Browns need to get. . .

Positions Needed: DL, LB, WR and RB

Pick number eight: Oakland Raiders

Last year's record: 5-11

Analysis: The 5-11 record is, in my mind, better that the numbers indicate. 4 out of their 5 wins came against teams with a record over .500, so we know Oakland can beat good teams. Therefore, they need. . .

Positions Needed: S, TE and OL

Pick number nine: Buffalo Bills

Last year's record: 6-10

Analysis: Buffalo needs to pull itself together. I think they could help themselves by picking up one of the big free-agent backs. Brian Westbrook would be a good fit there. That would be a scary backfield with Westbrook and Marshawn Lynch.

Aside from that, the Bills need to get this in the draft. . .

Positions Needed: OL, WR and CB

Pick number ten: Chicago Bears/Jacksonville Jaguars (order decided by coin flip) Pick traded to Denver.

Last year's record: 7-9

Analysis: This is done assuming Chicago wins the flip. The Bears came into last year with a new QB and a hope that they could make it to the Super Bowl like they did in 2006. Unfortunately for them, it didn't happen. Brian Urlacher broke his wrist and missed the entire season. To get back in the hunt, "Da Bears" need. . .

Positions Needed: OL, CB and TE

Analysis: This is done assuming Chicago wins the flip. The Jaguars were bumped out of a playoff spot late in the season (mostly thanks to my Ravens) but, for the most part, played well all year as young back Maurice Jones-Drew came into his own.
I love NFLRUSH.com. Don't you? It helps me get my football fix during the off-season.

The online polls. One reason for going to NFLRUSH.com is their online polls. I love their polls, especially when they ask what your favorite things to do for PLAY60 are.

In one poll, they asked whether you like to jump rope. I jump rope all the time in my basement. Another question was whether you like to play flag football. I played flag football for the Macomb Mustangs and Antioch Vikings for the past three years and I play with my friends when it's warmer outside. They have also asked if you like to play tag with your friends. I do that at recess every day.

The games. If you're bored and looking for a website to play great games on, you should go to NFLRUSH .com. One of my favorite games there is "The Two Minute Drill with Drew Brees." I like that you can call your own pass plays and throw to the open wide receiver using the keyboard. Another game I like to play is "Frankfurter Fling." In that game you use the space bar to aim where the character throws a hotdog into the stands. Finally, I like playing "Game Ball Free for All." You match cards in that game and when you get 3 matches in a row you get more cards that you have to match. If you're really good at the game, you can unlock football cards in the end. That's my favorite game.

Headlines and articles. I also enjoy reading the football headlines and the other kids' articles posted on NFLRush.com. It's interesting to know what other kids are thinking and predicting on the topic of football. I like to give "shout outs" to my friends and fellow writers.

The NFL Season has officially ended with the Saints winning 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV, but that doesn't stop the build up for the NFL Draft in April. The combine is next week and the combine is a way to see our favorite college player's work in front of our favorite team's scouts.

It's always fun to see the guy who nobody talks about leading up to the Combine and then amazes people, here is a list of the top 3 Combine Playera:

1) Jermaine Gresham, TE Oklahoma. Gresham would've had a huge year if QB Sam Bradford didn't get hurt in the opening game of the season against BYU. Look for him to go from early-second-round to mid-third round.

2) Ndamukong Suh, DT-Nebraska. One of the best defensive players to come out of college in the last decade. Suh has a fantastic chance to go # 1 to the Rams and help build their tremendously weak defense; the Rams also need either a starting QB or a really good back-up for Marc Bulger.

3) Tony Pike, QB-Cincinnati. The top-5 quarterbacks are some of the best to come out of college in a long time, but everybody is talking about Jimmy Clausen, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, and Tim Tebow. A guy who could be the best is Tony Pike. He has had monster seasons the last two years with Brian Kelly at the helm until Kelly left for Notre Dame.

4) If I had to choose a sleeper, I would go woth the Penn State linebackers. I may be biased because their my favorite team, but they have all had huge careers and I wish they can turn in to a household name like Paul Posluzny, who was a part of "Linebacker U"

To you, football season may be over. Although to players, coaches, and the rest of your team's organization the season is never over. The NFL Combine is coming up and it is filled will many talented prospects. Here are my top three.

1. Ndamukong Suh, DT Nebraska

Don't pencil him in as the #1 overall pick; put it in permanent marker and laminate it. The best college player of the 2009 season in my opinion was this 6 foot tall and 300 pound defensive tackle. The man is simply incredible. Suh has a lot of power and natural strength into his 6 foot tall and 300 pound frame and frankly, college lineman are just no match for this force of nature that is Ndamukong Suh. If the Rams, who have the first pick of the NFL Draft, pass up on Suh, it's just because they think their future franchise quarterback is looking them in the face.

2. Eric Berry, SS Tennessee

You hear all the time how parents have inspired their children to follow their dreams. The father of Eric Berry, James Berry, has gave his son enough inspiration to carry him into a top 5 pick caliber in the 2010 NFL Draft. Vision, instincts, reliable hands, reflexes, and speed are the strengths which put this safety at the top of his game. Many even compare him to All-Pro safety of the Baltimore Ravens, Ed Reed. This talented safety looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

3. Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma

Despite Bradford's shoulder injury that kept him out of the 2009 season, I believe the team that rolls the dice on Sam Bradford will succeed. The 2008 Heisman Trophy winner works the progression to get the ball to the open guy quickly. That is why I believe Sam Bradford is the best quaterback in the 2010 NFL combine.

What I really enjoy when watching the combine is that I know I am watching stars in the making. The next generation of football players in the making.

Final Words

I hope you enjoy watching the combine because I know I will. The 2010 NFL Combine is promising to be jam-packed with future All-Stars.

So as you all know, the NFL Combine takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium every February and part of March!

The top three picks for my combine this year are:

DT Ndamukong Suh: Nebraska

Suh has the most athletic ability of a Defensive Tackle I have ever seen in my life. He is a John Randle in the making.

HB C.J. Spiller: Clemson

C.J. Spiller should be a top ten pick in this year's upcoming entry draft. He has the talent of Jamal Lewis' trucking and Jerious Norwood's mobility put together.

CB Joe Haden: Florida

Joe Haden has the potential of a Champ Bailey and could be an ultimate shut-down corner in the NFL.

Thanks,

Congrats to the Saints for winning the Super Bowl! Now we have the 2010 NFL Combine coming up to watch the best college football players entering the draft.

Here's What I Enjoy Most About The NFL Combine: I like watching college players getting closer to their dream of becoming a star in the NFL. I also enjoy watching all the players sprinting the 40 Yard Dash and seeing how fast their time is. I also enjoy watching the football players representing my favorite college Penn State. This year I think that PSU DT Jared Odrick and MLB Sean Lee will go pretty high in the draft, maybe in the 2nd or 3rd round. Two others I that I think will be drafted are PSU OLB Navorro Bowman and QB Daryll Clark, that will maybe go in the 4th or 5th rounds.

Top 3 Prospects:

1. QB: Sam Bradford- I think that Bradford has great potential as a future starting QB. Bradford has great accuracy in his throws and has great leadership on the field. I think Bradford might go to the Rams with the 1st overall pick, except I think he needs to learn from a veteran QB before he is a starter.

2. DT: Ndamukong Suh- I was hoping that Suh would win the Heisman after his great performance in the Big 12 Championship Game against Texas, Suh did not win, but I think he has a great pass rush ability and is great at putting pressure on the QB. Suh has hard-hitting tackles and I think that he can definitely be a top 10 pick in the draft.

3. WR: Dez Bryant- Bryant will catch every pass you throw to him and can also return punts as well. If you throw the ball into coverage Bryant can leap up and make a spectacular catch. I think Bryant's best fit in the draft will be the 3rd overall pick to the Buccaneers because I think they need a new young receiver to help out with 2nd year QB Josh Freeman and the offense.
