MORE FREE AGENT FRENZY![]() As free agency period rages on, a couple of teams really helped their 2008 cause with some great moves. Check it out: Panthers get help: The Panthers signed former Seahawks WR D.J. Hackett in an effort to give WR Steve Smith some help in their passing game. Earlier this month, they also signed former Bears WR Muhsin Muhammad and now look to have a strong WR group. Jets pick up Franks: The Jets signed former Packers veteran TE Bubba Franks. The Jets hope to benefit from this former Pro Bowler’s experience and add depth at the TE position, as well as the experience of Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca, whom they acquired from the Steelers. Earlier this month, the Jets snatched up former Dolphins RB Jesse Chatman to add depth to the running game. Texans improve their backfield: The Texans needed help to improve their running game and they hope they found it by signing former Titans RB Chris Brown. Chris will work with Ahman Green to help turn around the Texans ground-attack. Buccaneers reunion: The Bucs signed RB Warrick Dunn. Dunn was released by the Falcons earlier this off-season and now has rejoined his old team. The Buccaneers were looking for a veteran to help lead their team and Dunn can get the job done.
