The New Orleans Saints pulled the upset of the year last night, as they beat the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 31-17.
WOW! Drew Brees was named MVP, and he sure deserved it! He completed 32 of 39 passes for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was a back-and-forth game like no other for sure (I should know, I spent nearly the whole time either jumping up and down, or slapping my forehead and groaning).
The Saints were down 10-0 in the first quarter, but came back to make it a 10-6 game at the half. In one of the gutsiest calls in Super Bowl history, Sean Payton went with a surprise onside kick at the start of the third quarter and the Saints recovered it! That was the first onside kick in Super Bowl history that did not come in the fourth quarter, and it was also only the fifth successful onside in the history of the big game.
Anyway, the two teams exchanged leads a few times, but when they needed it the most, Tracy Porter ran back an INT (the only turnover for either team all game) 74 yards for the sealing touchdown.
I can't believe that the season is over! It seems like just yesterday that I was writing the Week 2 article. Anyway, the offseason has started. I'm sure we'll be hearing trade talks, draft questions and retirement rumors before the week is out. I'll keep you posted on big offseason moves and I'll probably do something for the draft as well.
Well, that's about it for now.
Until next time,

Hey Cole! The snow is a lot of fun this year (there is enough for me to have a few weeks of snowboarding) and we're supposed to get more on Monday. As for the draft, I don't know who the Ravens are going to pick. I certantly have my opinions, though. I think we need to get a WR. KC
