Titans Zoo Photo

The Tennessee Titans continued to focus on their “PLAY 60” effort to encourage kids to get 60 minutes of activity per day in order to fight childhood obesity.  On Sunday, May 31, they teamed up with the Nashville Zoo to host a day of “wild” fitness and activities for the entire family in the Zoo’s Festival Field.  The “PLAY 60” Day included low impact activities, inflatable games and football drills for children ages 3-14 as part of the TitansPLAY 60” efforts to promote physical fitness and sixty minutes of active play per day.

Titans players Eugene Amano, Ken Amato, Dave Ball, Larry Birdine, Pete Clifford, Jacob Ford, Ahmard Hall, LeRoy Harris, Stanford Keglar, Matt Mulligan, Craig Stevens, Kyle Vanden Bosch, Kevin Vickerson and Paul Williams were on hand to encourage kids through a series of physical drills such as obstacle courses, relay races, field goal kicking challenges, etc.  Also on hand was the Nashville Zoo docent crew with animal related activity games and educational stations to illustrate how and why health and fitness are the keys to the survival of the fittest.  In addition, there was a slew of other activities and entertainment for the family including the Titans cheerleaders, T-Rac, & Twiga the Giraffe.
