GIRLS OF FLAG FOOTBALL Meet 10 girls across the country who love football as much as you do! These 10 football players are tearing up the football fields on the weekends with their 40 yard passes and tiptoe sideline catches. They are some of the best flag football players in the country! But during the week, you’ll find these 10 girls, or pioneers as we like to call them, lobbying their high schools to introduce girls flag football as a new sport in their school districts. Boys have been able to enjoy high school football for a long time…it’s time for our first down! Believe in Now!

Believe me, they did not go easy on me because I was a girl and I had a blast. I wish there had been a team when I was in school. Not only are team sports fun - but they teach you so much about life. Years ago, when I was in High School, as a varsity football player I helped coach girls in flag football. It was called Powder Puff Football. There were girls on the team that were more dedicated and better than some of the guys. I have a 9 year old girl; I completely support the idea.
