Today, I went to the Pro Bowl! Before kickoff, I got on-field access to watch the players warm up, and got the opportunity to high five Kyle Williams and Cameron Wake!
After meeting them and getting their autographs earlier in the week, it was a great way to wrap up the weekend. I also got to watch the first half of the 13/14u Flag Football Championships. The defending champion Dolphins played the Redskins, and at the end of the first quarter it was the Redskins up 14 to 6. The second half was to be played at halftime, so I then went back to my seat, which was in the 13th row back on the first level! There was only one turnover in the first half of the Pro Bowl, and that was a Drew Brees interception by Stephon Gilmore, the Bills cornerback!
The AFC took advantage as the NFC could not find their groove, and led at halftime with the score at 14 to 7. During halftime, the second half of the Flag Football Championships took place. The Redskins kept churning, and took down the defending champs in an upset. The final score was 20 to 6. Then, the Pro Bowl resumed, the AFC not letting up. A second interception for them by Lorenzo Alexander late in the game when the NFC needed a touchdown sealed it, and the AFC won.
We stayed all the way through to the end with the presentation of the trophy and the announcement of the MVP’s. For offense, it was Travis Kelce, and for the defense, it was Lorenzo Alexander of the Buffalo Bills! This was such an amazing experience for me, and I would like to thank NFLRush.com for this amazing opportunity.
